In Sardinia, Rome, George Clooney was taken to the hospital after a severe accident that caused him injuries. He was kept in the hospital for some time after his motor scooter and a vehicle crashed on a state road on an Italian Island. The accident happened on Tuesday, according to hospital officials.

It has been determined that Clooney will fully recover from his injuries and he’s since been released from the hospital. The accident involved two vehicles, the motorbike that Clooney was riding on and a blue Mercedes sedan. The two vehicles collided along a curve in the roadway.

57-year-old Clooney was on his way to a film set for his new film Catch-22 when the Mercedes hit the motorbike around a curve in the road near the entrance to a residential compound. As of Tuesday, oil stains and police paint were still on the roadways. The front of the sedan’s right bumper was damaged, and Clooney’s bike sustained damages to the side.

Determining Liability in Your Motorcycle Accident

Motorcycle accidents are prevalent all over the world. Many accidents take place involving motorcycle riders and drivers of motor vehicles, who might not be looking out for the interests of these smaller vehicles on the roadway. In two-thirds of motorcycle accidents involving another vehicle, the driver of the other vehicle violated the right-of-way and caused the crash. Motorcyclists, according to statistics, are also 29 times more likely to lose their lives in an accident on our roadways.

When it comes to your case, you want to prove that the other party was liable for your accident. You have to show that, given the circumstances, the other driver in your accident violated your rights and owes you compensation for the injuries you have sustained. A person acts with negligence when they behave in a thoughtless or careless manner and cause injuries to you or another party. Here are some aspects that will play a role in your accident case:

  • The motorist was not exercising care on the roadway at the time of your accident
  • The driver did not act like any reasonable person would have under the same circumstances
  • The negligent conduct of the defendant led to your injuries
  • You suffered losses in some way due to these negligent actions

There are many types of accidents that are more prevalent than others when it comes to motorcycle cases. For instance, it is not uncommon to hear of vehicles making left-hand turns in front of a motorcycle when they don’t notice them at an intersection or a red light. There are also many head-on collisions when the driver of a motorcycle or a vehicle lose control and collide with one another.
